Russian shareholders will invest more than 50 million US dollards into development of the Company MegaCom

Investments into technical development of the network MegaCom and introduction of new formats will constitute more than 50 million US dollars until 2014. Plans of the largest cellular communication operator were commented by Azat Bazarkulov, the First Deputy Director General of the Company MegaCom, representative of the state in the Company’s Board:

– 49 percent of shares of the Company MegaCom are nationalized and financial success of the Company affects the national budget. Achievements of the operator are provided by considerable investments, efficient planning and high-quality management. Results are rather impressive: in this year the number of MegaCom subscribers exceeded 2 million. Such tax-payers and employers, as the Company MegaCom, are profitable for Kyrgyzstan, because they improve living standards of the population, - Azat Bazarkulov said.

Russian investors in cooperation with the state perform considerable work on development of the Company and telecommunication sphere in general. At present, the Kyrgyz-Russian cellular communication operator works on introduction of the 3G format communication; start up is planned to be performed at the beginning of 2011. This standard is considered as intermediate by the Company, because MegaCom is oriented at introduction of the fourth generation network (LTE), which provides data-transfer rate up to 100 Mb/sec.
