Roaming in South Korea
International roaming for MegaCom subscribers in South Korea is provided by two mobile operators:
KT Freetel Co., Ltd. (CDMA 2000) and SK Telecom Co., Ltd. (CDMA 800).
To use inter-standard roaming in the networks of these operators, you should use inter-standard mobile phone (for instance, the IM-5200). You can also rent this kind of a mobile phone upon arrival in South Korea at the international airports Incheon and Busan, or order them in advance through the internet.
A MegaCom SIM card should be inserted into the inter-standard mobile phone, and then you will be able to use international roaming service.
For Your Information:
The CDMA standard mobile communication is prevailing in South Korea, hence, by addressing the problem as it is described above, it makes international roaming possible for GSM mobile communication users.
